Commands
In the scene on the boat, Arwyn, Brian and Jac use a number of if command forms. Let's have a look at them:
Gwranda - Listen Helpa fi - Help me Dala ei law - Hold his hand
These three forms illustrate the regular form for second person singular commands Generally -a is added to the stem of the verb:
edrych - edrycha (look) brysio - brysia (hurry) meddwl - meddylia (think)
And as we heard in the dialogue gwrando - gwranda helpu - helpa dal - dala in South Wales/dalia in North Wales Note that some verbs just use the stem of the verb
Cau dy geg Shut up (literally, shut your mouth) Gollwng y gwn Let go of the gun or drop the gun
