If you asked your dad whether he wanted you to 'be like him' as regards smoking, my guess is he'd say no. I'm 43 and recently quit - my 16 year old son smokes and I already see the signs in him that led me to a life of wheezy, smelly, expensive and debilitating addiction. If you think it's time to give up...you're right - good luck!

I smoked from age 17 until age 65. Now I am 5+ months cigarette free. I hated the fact that I was dependent on cigarettes and planning too many of my social activities around that dependency. Plus it is expensive and certainly damaging to physical health. I wish I had quit at your age! It won't be easy for you, but you'll be proud of yourself and go on to live a healthier, happier life. I wish you well in winning the nicotine addiction battle.
