Paul Mooney and Sue Sweeney

Red Nose Day fun

BBC Newcastle presenters donned wet suits and tutus to raise money for Comic Relief on Red Nose Day Friday 13 March 2009.

Forget dancing like Britney Spears. Forget climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.

On Red Nose Day 2009 BBC Newcastle's Sue Sweeney put her best flipper forward and swam with sharks to raise money for Comic Relief.

Sue gives the thumbs up

Kitted out in a wet suit, goggles, red nose and Comic Relief T-shirt she plunged into a tank full of sharks and colourful fish at the Blue Reef Aquarium in Tynemouth.

BBC Tyne was there to capture the moment and you can see our photos by clicking on the link below.

Meanwhile, back at BBC Newcastle, a group of radio and TV presenters put their dignity to one side and donned bright-pink tutus to raise money for the cause.
