The
view from the top of the Transporter Bridge is amazing, taking in
Middlesbrough, Billingham, Wilton and the Eston Hills.
However,
it's best not to look straight down through the wire meshing under
your feet to the cold waters of the Tees 160 feet below.
As
the cradle passes below the entire bridge shudders and shakes, and
you remember that the bridge was built 92 years ago.
