Lay
Lay on the BBC Radio Suffolk stage
For a couple of hours in the afternoon the sky cleared and the sun shone down on the Christchurch crowd. Umbrella's and raincoats were packed away and the music was now at the forefront of most peoples' minds.

BBC Radio Suffolk were broadcasting live for an hour from their stage and featured another act from our Unsigned section, Aaron Short, along with one of the highlights of the day Lay.

Suffolk Youth Jazz Orchestra

Lay are normally a duo but one half was held up in traffic so the bands namesake, Steven Lay, took to the stage alone and played three superb, energetic and emotive songs with his tremendously powerful voice stopping numerous passers-by in their tracks.

When the clouds opened again at about 4pm the crowd thinned out slightly but loads stayed on, despite getting another soaking, to support the bands that hadn't played yet.

I suppose that's what the day is about really. It's not just about the music, it's about the Ipswich community getting out there (despite the weather) and supporting events like this and the local musicians that took part in it.

Good afternoon, I'm trying to chase down information, (webpage, myspace, etc.) regarding the band Rosco. I have not heard or seen from them for quite some time.
