Hair styles have undergone a lot of changes

By Archana Sarpal
From the fairy tales of Raphunzel to Barbie dolls and now Bratz - hair styles have undergone a great deal of change. We took a journey down memory lane and found out there's a lot more to it all than just a thin strand of hair!

Changes are a necessary evil, as your gran might say! And yes when we look at it we realise that everything including our hair styles have come a long (or maybe a short) way.

There has always been a tug of war between straight and curly waves. People always have a desire to be in vogue or want something different and hair plays a vital part.

Punk hair style

The teenagers can be seen making hair statements on daily basis and some come up with quite unique creations … the latest on my list has to be the lad who had sprayed his hair orange for his first day at school after the summer break.

Hair is a trademark to someone’s personality. We often hear people say "you mean the one with blonde hair?" They seem to recognise the hairstyle as a uniqueness.

Also people love to be seen in traditional hair styles when it comes to special occasions like a wedding or a christening. You'd be hard pushed to find a bridegroom with a turquoise blue spiky hairdo walking on the aisle!

So what makes the perfect hairdo? And how have our attitudes towards our hair changed? Is bald beautiful? And do people follow the stars on the silver screen or the football field? Keep an eye on this webpage to find out what the experts say!
