Coleman makes return
Chris Coleman in action for Fulham before his serious injury
Chris Coleman ended a 14-month lay-off
Fulham and Wales defender Chris Coleman made a successful return to football on Wednesday following a 14-month absence.

The 31-year-old suffered severe leg injuries in a car crash which threatened his career and required several operations.

But Coleman delighted a large crowd of Fulham supporters by completing 45 minutes in the reserves' 1-1 draw with Charlton at Woking.

The 28-times capped centre half told Fulham's official website: "It was great to get back on the pitch and to make the first challenge.

"The plan was always to play just the first half and I was delighted with the way it went."
