Fresh from her marriage to childhood sweetheart Pierre-Yves, Henin-Hardenne has something to prove in 2003.
Having been hailed as a future Grand Slam winner when she burst onto the scene in 2001, the Belgian has since struggled to live up to that billing.
Nonetheless, the 20-year-old picked up two titles in 2002, reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon and was one of only five players to beat Serena Williams.
Widely regarded as possessing one of the finest backhands in the game, Henin-Hardenne will look to improve on her quarter-final showing at last year's Australian Open.
