Murray broke Tipsarevic early in the third set
|
British number one Andy Murray moved into the second round of the Moselle Open in Metz after a testing three-set victory over Serbia's Janko Tipsarevic.
Third seed Murray took the first set 6-4 but lost his form in the second, which Tipsarevic comfortably won 6-1.
But Murray, playing his first singles match since Great Britain's Davis Cup victory over Croatia, fought back to claim the final set 6-2.
The pair last met at the Queen's Club in 2006, a match which Tipsarevic won.
