Tosh and Bingo to leave Livi
Livi pair Steve Tosh and David Bingham
Steve Tosh and David Bingham will both be leaving
David Bingham and Steve Tosh are the highest profile casualties as Livingston begin to shape their squad for next season.

Bingham and Tosh have contributed a great deal to Livi's highly successful first season in the Scottish Premier League.

But both are out of contract and will be allowed to speak to other clubs.

Bingham in particular was singled out by manager Jim Leishman who acknowledged the contribution the striker had made to the club's progress in his four years at Almondvale.

Disappointed

Former Dunfermline forward, Bingham, expressed his disappointment that the decision to axe him had taken so long.

"It is still a shock when it happens but it wasn't totally unexpected because of how long it had been dragging on," he said.

"But, when you still hear the word, it is a bit disappointing, but it happens in football.

"Maybe, we could have all been told a little bit sooner to give us a chance to get fixed up with something else as soon as we can.

"Now I'm going to take a couple of weeks off and, hopefully, there will be a couple of things in the offing," he added.

Uefa blow

But Bingham admits missing out on playing in the Uefa Cup next season will be a major blow.

The striker scored nine times in the season to help propel the West Lothian club into Europe for the first time ever.

Bingham said: "It is disappointing to miss out on Europe but I can take heart from playing my part in helping them get there.

"That is true for a lot of the boys who are leaving.

"I have never played in Europe but I wish the boys well and hopefully they can survive a couple of rounds to bring more money to the club."

Bingham signed off his Livi career with one of the goals in the 3-2 win at Hearts on Sunday.

Way out

Joining Bingham and Tosh on the way out are Max Caputo, who is returning to Brescia, and Didier Santini.

John Anderson, David McGuire and Noko Jokovic are also being released, while Nathan Lowndes and Morten Petersen will be allowed to leave the club if a reasonable offer comes in for either player.

Lee Makel, Rubio and Quino have all been offered new deals to stay at the club.
