Scots can revive Canadian fortunes
Scotland v Canada
The Scots play Canada as part of a four-game tour
Canada coach Dave Clark hopes Scotland's summer tour of the country will help revive his team's fortunes after a year best forgotten.

Last year, a players' strike in Canada forced the cancellation of the autumn Test at Murrayfield.

The players were deeply unhappy about the change of national team management when Rugby Canada sacked Clark.

The authorities eventually backed down and Clark was reinstated.

  Tour of Canada
June 5: v Eastern Canada XV
June 8: v Canada
June 11: v Canada West
June 15: v Canada
Now he feels the Scots' visit can help the sport get back on its feet again.

"I'm really excited about the Scotland tour," said Clark.

"It puts Canada back on the field after the events of last year and it is an opportunity for the Canadian rugby public to demonstrate both vocally, and by their presence in the stands, their support to the Canadian team.

"The entire national Canadian long-list will be on show in these four games.

"We will use the top 22 players in the Toronto and Vancouver games. The Eastern and Western Canada matches will feature the remainder of the long-list."
