Swans stars could move part-time

Swansea's players face some crucial off-field decisions
Swansea's players are considering their legal options after Tuesday's meeting with the club.

They are facing wage cuts or redundancy following Monday's announcement that the club is being put into temporary administration.

Some may consider moving to a part-time role and adapting their training schedule accordingly.

"Some of them may have to find another job, but that could mean they would not train as professionals," said solicitor Richard Harry.

Colin Charvis said in his BBC Sport column that the players need to 'put up or shut up' and show their talent on the field.

Harry, the acting chief executive of the Welsh Rugby Players Association, has advised the squad that they have options under the law.

"They can pursue a breach of contract that would make them creditors like anyone else," said Harry.

"The only other option is to say 'you've breached my contract, I accept that breach and walk away'."

The players are furious at the club's timing.

"By telling players now rather than at the end of the season it means - with the mechanics of the transfer system - they can't go to work anywhere else," said Harry.

"It's difficult when you go from 100% salary to 35%. It's not well received."
