Umaga spotted Charvis was in trouble

All Blacks captain Tana Umaga has received the Pierre Coubertin Trophy for assisting an injured opponent.
He won the award, presented by the International Committee of Fair Play, for aiding Colin Charvis of Wales after he was knocked unconscious.
The incident happened during a Test match in June, 2003.
"It's a great honour," Umaga said in a statement. "Sport is competitive but it doesn't mean that we should look the other way when an opponent is injured."
Previous winners of the award include tennis players
Arthur Ashe and Martina Navratilova, football's Bobby
Charlton, pole vaulter Sergei Bubka and former South
African president Nelson Mandela.
Umaga rushed to help Charvis after he was knocked out in a tackle during the game in Hamilton.
While play continued, he removed Charvis' mouthguard, ensured he did not swallow his tongue and placed him in the recovery position.
