Flatley returns to Aussie line-up
Elton Flatley
Elton Flatley almost kicked Australia to glory in the World Cup final
Elton Flatley has been named in the Australia side for the Test against England at Twickenham on Saturday.

Flatley, who comes in for the injured Stephen Larkham at fly-half, is one of three changes to the team that defeated Scotland last weekend.

Morgan Turinui comes in at outside centre in place of Stirling Mortlock while Wendell Sailor replaces Clyde Rathbone on the wing.

The pack is unchanged after Justin Harrison recovered from a strain.

Turinui's selection is a surprise as Mat Rogers had been expected to take the number 13 shirt.

However coach Eddie Jones decided to select Turinui, who was not originally selected in the touring squad, with Rogers named on the bench.

"Morgan has worked very hard to force his way back into the squad, had a strong match against the French Barbarians in Paris and deserves another opportunity at Test level," said Jones.

We will be just as brutal as England are aiming to be at us
Australia coach Eddie Jones

"It was a tough decision between him and Mat Rogers at outside centre."

Flatley was one of Australia's star performers in that dramatic World Cup final in Sydney and his high-pressure kicking kept the Wallabies in touch.

"These are two different teams. There won't be a lot of starters in the England team who ran out in the World Cup final," he said.

"We have moved on. We are not looking backwards."

Australia overcame Scotland 31-17 last weekend but were left counting the cost as Mortlock fractured his cheekbone and Larkham broke his arm in the contest.

However, Jones has warned England that his side will not shirk from any physical confrontations at Twickenham.

"We will be just as brutal as England are aiming to be at us," he said.

"There is a physical part of the game and we're not shying away from that part of the game.

"There is some accusation that we are going to be shying away from the physical side of the game by being clever. We're not.

"Rugby is a physical game. We'll take the physicality of England and then hopefully we will be able to use our skills."
