Bath put an end to Worcester's unbeaten home run in the Guinness Premiership with a convincing win at Sixways.
The visitors overcame a 13-10 half-time deficit with a flurry of late points as fly-half Chris Malone added his second and Gareth Delve scored in injury time.
Olly Barkley's goal-kicking helped ease Bath back in front as he notched a 21-point haul.
A first-half penalty try and flanker Kai Horstmann's score after the break kept Worcester in it until the death.
The surprise win for ninth-placed Bath eased their relegation worries, while fourth side Worcester, chasing their seventh straight home win in all competitions, missed a chance to leapfrog Leicester.
Worcester director of rugby John Brain: "We let ourselves down and lack of discipline was a key factor in the game.
"We got penalised a lot but when Bath had Duncan Bell sent to the sin-bin we lost that 10-minute spell 6-5.
"Pat Sanderson's absence was a factor. Pat has got a back problem, I'd expect him to miss the next couple of games."
Bath boss Michael Foley:
"Chris Malone is an unsung hero. He's a quality number 10, not the fastest in the world but he controls the game well.
"We've got the focus back. They're an incredibly spirited side - I've known that for two years and more - but the backs are now getting more aggressive and making clear chances, not just through opposition mistakes but creating them ourselves."
