Bottom side Leeds slumped to their fifth straight Guinness Premiership defeat after their forwards were given a pummelling by Worcester at Sixways.

The Tykes salvaged a priceless bonus point for a defeat by seven points or less but were only able to land five penalties from Roland de Marigny.

The home side ran in tries from wing Thinus Delport and flanker Saosi Vaili as Shane Drahm added four penalties.

Worcester's unbeaten home league run puts them fifth in the Premiership.

Worcester director of rugby John Brain:
"We got the result, but the performance wasn't good enough. Leeds were there for us to get a bonus point, but we gave away a lot of penalties.

"We can't afford to keep performing like that. We dominated the game, but to only win by seven points shows that we didn't put Leeds away.

"As coaches and players, you have got to look at performance."

Leeds director of rugby Phil Davies:
"I'm happy we put a dogged performance in, but I am still very frustrated that we didn't capitalise on some of our opportunities.

"The easiest thing to do is get very uptight and feel sorry for yourself, but we won't do that.

"We just want to build some momentum and start winning some games."
