Leeds hooker Mark Regan has been fined £500 after he was found guilty of bringing the game into disrepute.
The England World Cup winner was stamped on by Northampton scrum-half Mark Robinson in the Powergen Cup quarter-final on 22 January.
Robinson was sent off but Regan later admitted he had exaggerated his injury.
Regan was not found guilty of conning the referee but was reprimanded for his television comments, which made him guilty of the overall disrepute charge.
Robinson has received a 14-week ban, sidelining him for the rest of this season unless Saints reach the Heineken Cup final or Zurich Premiership play-offs in May.
Earlier on Tuesday, Regan announced he would be rejoining Bristol Shoguns next season, ending a three-year stint at Headingley.
