Ulster set up camp
Solomons is preparing for his second season with Ulster
The Ulster rugby squad travels to Scotland on Friday for a week-long training camp in preparation for the new season. Alan Solomons and his players are returning to Peebles in the Borders area where they had a similar warm-up week last year. The Ulster players will complete the heavy conditioning work they have been doing since the start of pre-season training in mid-June. Solomons will also hold a series of workshops in which a wide range of topics will be discussed, including drugs regulations and dealing with the media. The week ends on Friday 9 August with a conditioned friendly against the Scottish Borders side. Ulster's first pre-season friendly is against Bedford on Friday 16 August at Ravenhill in Belfast (kick-off 1930 BST) and they are at home to Glasgow a week later. Solomons' side begin their Celtic League programme on Friday, 30 August away to Ebbw Vale.
