England's women made a superb start to their bid for an unprecedented fourth straight Six Nations Grand Slam with a resounding 69-13 win over Italy.
They ran in 11 tries on their way to victory, Fiona Pocock grabbing a hat-trick and Emily Scarratt scoring two, with Katy McLean kicking 14 points.
Veronica Schiavon scored all Italy's points, her try coming when England already had 55 points on the board.
"This was a good start by my young team," said England coach Gary Street.
"We played some very good rugby at times, and although we have got things to work on, I am more than happy with this victory."
The next leg of their bid for another Grand Slam is away to Wales next Saturday.
