Cambridge have signed back Simon Lincoln from Luton as a replacement for Phil Reed who left the club at the end of last season.
Lincoln, 29, was relegated with Luton from National League Three South and has previously played with Cambridge player-coach James Shanahan at Bedford.
After finishing sixth in National Two last season, Cambridge have now signed eight new players.
The squad are scheduled to start pre-season training this week.
