Stewart moves to Sale
Edinburgh Rugby have released Barry Stewart to allow him to join English club Sale Sharks.

The 26-year-old Scot initially retired from the game last summer due to a neck injury.

But the prop has recovered sufficiently to join up with Scotland captain Bryan Redpath in the Sale squad for the game against Bristol.

Barry Stewart
Barry Stewart had retired from rugby through injury
Stewart's contract at Edinburgh expired this summer.

And he was not part of the team's plans for next year.

Edinburgh Rugby chief executive Nick Oswald said: "This has been a very difficult period for Barry and we wish him well in the future and thank him for his unstinting service to Edinburgh Rugby."
