Gardner recovers after 'attack'

Gardner played for Great Britain last season

Winger Ade Gardner had to miss St Helens' defeat by Leeds on Saturday after being beaten up, according to Saints coach Daniel Anderson.
The 23-year-old was allegedly attacked in his home town of Barrow-in-Furness and sustained an eye injury.
"He was clobbered in Barrow last weekend - the police are investigating via CCTV," said Anderson.
"He has an eye injury. We'll have to wait for the green light from the specialist before he can play again."
