Bradford agreed to release Godwin from the final year of his contract

Salford City Reds have signed Bradford Bulls hooker Wayne Godwin on a three-year contract. The 28-year-old, who was ever-present for Bradford last term, started his career at Castleford and has also had spells at Wigan Warriors and Hull FC. Godwin is expected to fill the void left by former captain and hooker Malcolm Alker, who has moved to the coaching staff. He is the ninth recruit by the Reds ahead of 2011 season.
