Super League leaders Leeds have signed Papua New Guinea winger Marcus Bai from Melbourne Storm.
The 30-year-old, who has played in the last two World Cups, will begin his two-year contract at the start of next season.
He has made more than 150
appearances in the National Rugby League (NRL) and is the all-time leading
try-scorer for Melbourne, who he has played for since the club was founded in 1998.
It will be Bai's second spell in England following an eight-match stint with
Hull in 1996.
"Marcus is a massive player in every sense of the word and will bring a great
deal to our squad for 2004," said Rhinos coach Darryl Powell.
"The signing of a top-class winger will mean that we have competition for
every position in the team next season which will maintain our current policy of
a competitive, challenging squad."
