Tony Smith makes a welcome return for Hull
Hull v Castleford

Former Great Britain scrum-half Tony Smith will end his six-month lay-off when he makes his comeback for Hull in Sunday's game against Castleford.

The 31-year-old former Castleford and Wigan half-back, who has undergone wrist and ankle surgery in the close season, has been named as a substitute.

Meanwhile, Castleford assistant coach Gary Mercer will comes out of retirement to play for the injury-hit Tigers.

The former New Zealand international, 36 in June, will make his Tigers debut at the Boulevard after they lost back-row forwards, second-row pairing Dale Fritz and Lee Harland and French forward Olivier Elima.

Halifax v London

Halifax's Karle Hammond is fit to face his old club after missing the last five matches because of family illness.

That game is likely to be the last Sunday fixture at Griffin Park as the Broncos prepare for a switch to Saturday night rugby.

After beating St Helens and Bradford in their previous two home games, London will hope to continue their winning ways.

They are boosted by ther return from injury of former Kiwi captain Richie Barnett.
