Whitehaven turn to McCormack
Whitehaven have named former Salford coach Steve McCormack as successor to Paul Cullen.

Steve McCormack was sacked by Salford earlier this year
McCormack was Super League's youngest coach
McCormack, who has also worked with the Great Britain Academy side, has been looking for a new club since being sacked by the Reds earlier in the season.

The 29-year-old became the youngest coach in coach Super League when he was appointed last year but his reign was cut short after a disastrous start to the current season.

He takes over from Cullen, who left the Northern Ford Premiership outfit to move to Super League strugglers Warrington last month.

Haven director Barry Richardson said: "We had some excellent candidates but Steve stood out and we are confident that he will do a good job for us at the Recreation Ground."
