Boycott: A career in pictures
Geoffrey Boycott makes his debut for Yorkshire in 1962, receiving his first England cap two years later
Boycott abandons Test cricket in 1973, returning in 1977 to score his 100th century and help win the Ashes
Boycott celebrates a century during his 100th Test - against Australia at Lord's in 1980
In 1981 Boycott goes past Sir Garfield Sobers' record of 8032 Test runs, making 105 in Delhi
Having captained Yorkshire from 1971 to 1978, Boycott is sacked by the county in 1983 after 21 years
Boycott retires from cricket in 1986 but soon finds employment as a television commentator
Boycott faces his biggest test of public opinion in 1998: He is convicted of assault and sacked by broadcasters
