Team Bath's Amy Williams is relieved at winning silver in the women's bob skeleton World Championships, but is already looking ahead to next season.
Williams claimed top-six finishes in every race bar one this term and is hopeful a good summer will set her up for Olympic year and success in 2010.
"It's a long way to go a year, anything can happen," she told BBC Points West.
"I've got to have a good summer, a good preparation and ensure I'm the fittest I can be for our selection races."
Those take place in October and signal the start of a campaign that reaches a crescendo with the Olympics in Vancouver in February.
And Cambridge-born Williams will be buoyed by the fact that her best World Cup result of the season, a second place, came at the Whistler Sliding Center, venue for the 2010 Games.
"Hopefully I can float through the summer and some good training after a break," the 26-year-old added.
"The body needs a bit of a break. But I'm really looking forward to getting back on the ice in October and to get back into racing. It will be good fun."
