Duffield's slim chances of reaching the Premier Squash League final vanished with a 4-1 defeat at Chichester.
The injury-ravaged Derbyshire side trailed 5-0 after Tuesday's first leg and needed a miraculous turnaround.
But Dominique Lloyd-Walter and Peter Genever beat Millie Tomlinson and Peter Billson to put the home side 2-0 up.
Alex Gough clinched victory by beating Alex Stait and Mohd Azlan Iskandar saw off Andrew Whipp to ensure Chichester's 4-1 success and an aggregate 9-1 win.
Chichester will meet Surrey in the final on Tuesday 13 May.
