London's Olympic bid in detail

The key points outlined by the London 2012 bid in their response to the International Olympic Committee's initial questionnaire.
"The Olympic Park would encompass the most extensive transformation in
London for more than a century."
"No white elephants - no venues to be built without a clear plan for their
post-Olympic use."
"Multi-cultural and multi-faceted arts and entertainment will add a unique
and world-class backdrop to the Olympic festival. Athlete celebrations and
entertainment will be held every evening in Hyde Park."
"London has the world's busiest international airport and one of the world's
most extensive rail and underground systems. Every day 20 million passengers
travel on London's comprehensive and integrated transport system."
"Massive investment programme is under way which will see further
improvements in capacity and reliability. Over £17 billion is being spent in
London before 2012, with roads, trains and the Underground all due to benefit."
"Capacity of the Jubilee Line serving the main Olympic venues will be
increased by 45%."
"The high-speed Channel Tunnel Rail Link will cut journey times from the
Olympic transport hub at Stratford to central London to seven minutes."
"A budget of £450m has been set aside for additional transport
development for the 2012 Olympic Games."
"London has over 70,000 three/five star hotel rooms within 10km of the city
centre, with a further 20,000 hotel rooms due to be built by 2012. Of these,
