A punter has scooped a record-breaking £1 million on a multiple racing bet.
The gambler from Manchester won a total of £1,132,657 on the final leg of the ToteScoop6 bet at Wincanton when Perouse was his sixth winner.
The unidentified punter now qualifies to play for a potential bonus of
£754,452 on Saturday, which would make a combined total of £1,887,109.
A week earlier, pensioner Jack Lee missed out on a near-£1m payday when one of his horses was disqualified.
Saturday's wining dividend was a Tote record and it is the first time anyone has ever won £1m at a bookmaker's shop.
It is
not known at this stage if he was acting alone or with others.
Done Boookmakers said the bet was a perm costing 480, which came up with the £2 winning line.
