Merrien beat Kerry Packwood in the World Indoor final

Guernsey's Alison Merrien won the World Indoor Bowls Championships women's singles title in Swansea on Sunday.
After a slow start to her campaign the world number one came back to beat Wales' Kerry Packwood 10-4 10-9 in the final to claim the crown.
It is the first time Merrien has won the singles title after success in the mixed pairs in previous years.
Merrien told BBC Guernsey: "I've been trying for this one for so many years and finally got it."
Merrien was one of four island bowlers playing in the tournament and the only woman from Guernsey.
