Japan deal blow to Greece
Action from Japan v Greece in the Olympic women's volleyball
Japan boosted their hopes of reaching the women's volleyball quarter-finals by beating Greece 3-1 in Pool A.

The defeat for the host nation is a massive setback for Greece's own chances of reaching the next stage of the competition.

Meanwhile, reigning champions Cuba saw off the previously unbeaten China in a thrilling five-setter in Pool B.

Zoila Barros Fernandez top-scored for Cuba with 24 points and her serving was the key to their victory.
