Amey misses Athens trip
Paul Amey
British triathlete Paul Amey has been ruled out of the Olympics after breaking his pelvis in a bicycle crash.

The 31-year-old, who also missed the Sydney Games through injury, came down heavily in Italy and is set to be replaced by Marc Jenkins.

"I'm crushed and very sad," he told the Inside Triathlon website.

"My front wheel skipped over a small rock. Aside from a few scratches I look fine and so does my bike. I just came down so hard on my hip."
