Newbery dives to 10m gold
Chinese diver Lao Lishi dives during the 10m platform semi-final
Chantelle Newbery gave Australia their first women's Olympic diving title when she won the 10m platform gold.

The 27-year-old from Melbourne led for the final three rounds to become Australia's first Olympic diving champion since Dick Eve won the men's High Dive in 1924.

Her compatriot Loudy Tourky won bronze, with China's Lao Lishi taking silver.

It's the second Athens medal for Newbery who won the synchonrised springboard bronze with Irina Lashko.
