Russia into quarter-finals
Alexei Rastvortsev
Defending champions Russia edged past Iceland 34-30 to reach the quarter-finals of the men's handball.

The Russians fell behind early against Iceland but wrapped up the win, thanks predominantly to Alexei Rastvortsev, who scored 10 goals from 16 shots.

They will now face France, who were 27-22 winners over Germany in their final group game.

The French and Croatia are the only sides to go into the knockout stages with an unbeaten record.
