I think I've done enough Darren Campbell

The Sydney silver medallist withdrew from the 200m final with hamstring and rib injuries, but feels he has done enough to be picked.

"The selectors have to look at what I've done in the past and also at the semi-final," Campbell said.

"I'm in the best form of my life. I don't think I can be touched and I hope the selectors do the right thing."

Chris Lambert and Christian Malcolm booked their 200m places in the GB squad by taking first and second in the final.

That leaves the selectors with one 200m place to fill - and with Marlon Devonish and Julian Golding not at their best, Campbell is expected to get the nod whe the team is announced on Tuesday.

Campbell won his 200m heat but aggravated injuries he picked up in the 100m final 24 hours earlier when he finished second to Jason Gardner.

"When I fell yesterday, I grazed my arm and hurt my calf, but the impact of the fall meant I injured the right side of my neck," he added.

"I spoke to the doctors but couldn't get a firm decision from the selectors about what to do, so I came out and ran.

"The doctors told me I'd dislodged two ribs down my left side and they put them back for me, but my balance was funny and when I came round the bend I was not in the right position.

"I could either be stupid and risk further damage or do the sensible thing and leave it in the selectors' hands.

"I think I have done enough and the doctors said I should think about the Olympic Games. It was not worth sacrificing the Olympics to run in the final."
