Caines out of 4x400m relay
Daniel Caines
Caines has endured a difficult year
Britain's former world indoor 400m champion Daniel Caines will play no further part in the Olympics after picking up a knee injury.

The 25-year-old was due to take part in Britain's 4x400m relay team, but will now fly back home to receive treatment.

Caines sustained the injury running in the first heat of the 400m on Friday.

"I've had knee problems all year and it hasn't gone right for me," said Caines after the race. "I felt pain out there but that was bad."
