Dragila out of pole vault
Reigning Olympic champion Stacy Dragila crashed out of the pole vault in qualifying after failing to clear just 4.40 metres.

Dragila was expected to qualify easily for the final but the American had three bad failures and will now not defend her title on Tuesday night.

World champion Svetlana Feofanova and current world record Yelena Isinbayeva, eased through.

The two Russians are favourites to inherit Dragila's crown.
