Holm lands high jump title
Stefan Holm
Sweden's Stefan Holm has won the Olympic men's high jump final with a leap of 2.36m.

Holm, a three-time world indoor champion, equalled his own world leading mark this season with his first attempt at the height.

American Matt Hemingway took the silver while Jaroslav Baba of the Czech Republic claimed the bronze.

Both athletes failed all three jumps at 2.34m, but Hemingway was awarded the silver on countback.
