Brazil beat previously undefeated South Korea 33-32 in the last minute to keep alive their chances of making the women's last eight.

World champions Russia clinched Group B with a 33-24 win over Hungary.

Romania and Norway kept their 4-0 records to stay in the lead of handball's Group A. Romania beat Angola 28-23 and Norway overran France 34-24.

Kazakhstan remained a final eight contender by hanging on to defeat China 29-26 while Sweden edged Germany 27-26.
