GAA clamps down on diving

Referees will be instructed to hand out yellow cards for diving offences next season.

GAA disciplinary chiefs have told referees to get tough on cheating.

This year's football championship saw a number of instances in major matches when players appeared to dive in an attempt to earn frees.

Referees will now have the power to award frees when they feel that players are guilty of diving.
