Pascal will skipper Errigal
Mickey Harte (centre) is Errigal Ciaran and Tyrone boss
Pascal Canavan will captain Errigal Ciaran in Sunday's AIB Ulster Club Football Semi-Final against All-Ireland Champions Ballinderry.
Canavan takes the captaincy from Eoin Gormley who lasted just seven minutes of last weekend's replay victory over Crossmaglen because of a hamstring injury. Errigal Ciaran boss Mickey Harte has said that Gormley will play no part in Sunday's encounter. Darragh Tierney, who impressed hugely when he came on for Gormley at Clones, is expected to be retained for the Ulster Semi-Final. Harte, meanwhile, has been reluctant to comment on a possible club v county conflict if Errigal Ciaran were to go further in the championship. The Errigal Ciaran boss was appointed as Tyrone manager last week and will be expected to begin duties with the county almost immediately.
