MacRory holders held by Omagh
McBride is hoping to steer Omagh to MacRory glory
Bank of Ireland MacRory Cup holders St Michael's Enniskillen and Omagh CBS played out a dogged 0-5 to 0-5 draw in Saturday's Group match at Augher.
Enniskillen were ahead by 0-2 to 0-1 at half time but two Barry McGill frees near the end tied the scores up. Omagh goalkeeper Christopher Green produced a superb display to keep the St Michael's forwards at bay. In Saturday's other game, St Mary's Magherafelt hammered Patrician Carrickmacross 2-8 to 0-4. Carrickmacross were under strength with three players missing having picked up injuries against Maghera on Wednesday. In particular, free-taker Stephen Gallogly was a big loss. A first half goal from Conor Scullion gave Magherafelt a 1-5 to 0-2 lead at half-time. For the second week in a row, substitute Colm Campbell came in to score a goal and a point after his introduction. |
