McKenna's name in the hat
McKenna (left) wants to continue manager's role
Eugene McKenna has confirmed that he is putting his name forward for the vacant Tyrone manager's post.
McKenna now joins Mickey Hart and Brian McIver as the front-runners for the job.
McKenna in tandem with Art McRory were the duo that looked after the fortunes of the Red Hand county for a number of years. They were re-appointed into the dual manager's role at the beginning of October, before McRory revealed last week that he was stepping down because of personal reasons. Not pleased The Tyrone county board immediately set the wheels in motion by saying that their was a vacancy for the manager's job. It was a sudden move that did not please the Augher man. However, McKenna still wants to be involved with the county that he and McRory guided to the Ulster championship in 2001, and National League title in 2002.
