Bayliss will need two medical checks before he can race

World Superbike champion Troy Bayliss plans to race in Valencia on 13 April - less than two weeks after having part of his finger amputated.
The Australian trapped his finger under his handlebars in a crash during Sunday's European Grand Prix at Donington and had immediate surgery.
Bayliss is recuperating in Monte Carlo and faces medical checks before being given the all-clear to race again.
"I feel I can get on a motorbike but I won't know until I do." said Bayliss.

The crash happened so quickly that I don't remember anything

"Things are coming along OK and I've still got plenty of days to recover.
"I'm confident I'm going to be fine for Valencia and hopefully in just a week and a half you'll see the usual Troy."
Bayliss was leading the race at Donington when he crashed at the difficult Coppice corner on lap six.
"The crash happened so quickly that I don't remember my hand going under the handlebar or anything," Bayliss said.
The rider was taken to Derbyshire Royal Infirmary where the top two bones in the finger were removed.
