Haslam takes pole at Snetterton
Airwaves Ducati's Leon Haslam
Haslam is fifth in the drivers' standings
Englishman Leon Haslam smashed the track record and grabbed pole position for the eighth round of the British Superbike Championship at Snetterton.

The Airwaves Ducati rider clocked one minute 05.403 seconds to hold off the HM Plant Honda duo of Ryuichi Kiyonari and Michael Rutter.

Haslam was just 0.032secs faster than Kiyonari, while Rutter, who fell in the morning, clocked 1min 05.653secs.

Haslam is currently fifth in the title race and has won once this season.
