Australian Stoner moves to MotoGP
Casey Stoner
Stoner came second in the 250cc championship
Australian Casey Stoner will take part in next season's MotoGP after being promoted from the 250cc class.

Stoner will ride for the LCR Team run by Lucio Cechinello.

"I am very happy to make my MotoGP debut with Lucio," said Stoner, who was runner-up to Spain's Daniel Pedrosa in the 2005 250cc championship.

"The LCR Team is like a home away from home. The year 2006 will be my fifth year in the World Championship and the fourth with the LCR Team."
