Kiyonari cleared to make comeback
Ryuichi Kiyonari
Kiyonari is now playing catch-up in the championship
Ryuichi Kiyonari will make his comeback from injury in the fifth round of the British Superbike Championship at Mondello Park in Ireland on Sunday.

The Japanese rider, who won the first four races of the year, missed the last round at Oulton Park after a high-speed crash at Mallory Park last month.

Kiyonari's HM Plant Honda team-mate Michael Rutter took full advantage to lead the championship by 56 points.

But doctors have given Kiyonari the all-clear to return to action.
