No joy for NI men in Superbikes
Jeremy McWilliams
Jeremy McWilliams was seventh in the first race
Northern Ireland riders failed to make an impact in the opening round of the British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch on Monday.

Jeremy McWilliams was seventh in the first race with Jonathan Rea next best of the locals in 13th.

Michael Laverty was the top-placed NI rider in the second race in 15th while McWilliams failed to finish.

Ian Lowry won the Yamaha R6 Cup race, Eugene Laverty was sixth in Supersport and Adrian Coates fifth in Superstock.

Meanwhile, at Kirkistown, Raymond Porter clinched a treble success in Monday's Irish Superbike meeting.

The Donegal rider won both Superbike races and claimed victory in the first Supersport 600 race.

Ballymoney's Adrian Archibald was the winner in the second Supersport 600 race with Porter second and Ryan Farquhar of Dungannon in third.

There was a 125 double for William Dunlop to follow up his brace of wins at Bishopscourt on Saturday.
